About me

I was born and raised in Nagaoka city, Niigata. I will talk about Nagaoka city. The city is famous for its fireworks. The fireworks are a little bit difference compare the other fireworks. The most of other fireworks are competition for pyrotechnician. But Nagaoka Fireworks Festival is not. Nagaoka Fireworks Festival includes to those who died in the recovery from the Chuetsu Earthquake and the Nagaoka Air Raid, as well as gratitude to the predecessors who devoted their lives to the recovery efforts. I go to see Nagaoka Fireworks Festival every year.

Then, I will talk about my university life. I belong to the Faculty of International studies and Regional Development. I would like to study abroad for a year while I am still in school. Also, I belong to a music club. I play the drums. Because I played drums a little bit in high school. I would like to try many things in the future, such as playing different instruments, playing in many bands, and performing live many times.

Next, I will about my favorite things. My favorite things are listening to music. In particular Japanese rock. I would like to introduce two of my favorite bands. The first band is "THE KING OF ROOKIE" from Niigata. Their music is very uplifting when I listen to it when I am feeling down. They are not well known yet, but I believe they will become big in the near future! Seconds band is "push pull pot" from Kanazawa. Their song, "13歳の夜(Night of the Thirteen Years Olds)" was written after experiencing the Great East Japan Earthquake. I enjoy listening to music on my phone and actually going to their live shows. This picture is my favorite live house and the vocalist of THE KING OF ROOKIE.

Then, I love outdoor activity. For example, camp, climb mountain, ski and so on. When I was child, I usually went to sea and mountain and forest with family. This summer I went to Togakushi Camp Field, Nagano. So, I love nature. In this winter, I am going to ski. I am really looking forward to it!!!

Plant-based dining

Hi, I am Kaho. I'll talk about plant-based restaurants.I went to "SUZUDELI". The restaurants foods are used local ingredients.Mainly local vegetables are served. I had quiche, pumpkin in salad and simmered fu, rice and miso-soup. I had a satussfying meal, even though there was no meat in it at all. I recommend going if you get the chance.
